A Relationship Of Convenience? Makes Sense On Which Planet?

Well hello... I hope you are all well on this wonderful hump day.   Something that came to my attention lately as I go through the Dear Babbzy letters I get.  If you haven't seen a Dear Babbzy LIVE before make sure you are subscribed to my Facebook Page .  Most times in the letters I get, people will basically try to make excuses or try to explain in a non-logical format why they are in a relationship with someone who really doesn't want to be with them.  Or, that they really don't want to be either.  When Dear Babbzy first started I was able to…

Frustrations Of Renting A Car In The Caribbean!!!

What’s up everyone, Quick blog post today.  Not complaining just giving you all a heads up in case you find yourself in a situation like I found myself in. Recently I was in Barbados and I had to rent a SUV for my trip based on the type of trip that it was.  The usual companies I use to rent vehicles from were all sold out of SUV’s so I ended up using a company I have never used before.  Ace Rent A Car. Now my 9 to 5 job is in insurance so I get discount codes for many different car rental agencies because…

Things I Gave Up On In 2016!! Sometimes You Have To Throw In The Towel

What's everyone.... Long time but don't worry I am back!! As you know 2017 is near.  Are you excited?  I am... Because I know I am going into the NEW YEAR with a clear mind.  I have given up on SO MUCH... Lord have mercy... my resolutions this year are scarce!! *smile* So yes, just so that I don't have a nervous break down early 2017, I have just thrown in the BLASTED TOWEL early on some of the things I either really wanted, or really struggled with.  So yes, I just give up.  I am okay with it though.   Let me tell you…

6 Years Of … Well… Babbzy!!!! Happy Anniversary To Me!!!!

Good Day my peoples...... Old old old old old fans will know that TODAY marks my 6th year as a "blogger".  I use that term loosely because I am not really sure if at this stage I am still a "blogger". But 6 years ago, for some odd reason I decided to put a webcam on my old ass laptop and do a video.  I saw a Haitian man doing a video about things going on in his life.  I thought to myself, have I ever seen a Bajan person do this?  Oh well let me say a few things.   Clueless that 100's of…

Why Are Caribbean Folks Celebrating/Engaging In Halloween Again? Just Curious!!!

Yes everyone...Babbzy bout hay!!! Quick question for you all cause you know I am slow sometimes and don't understand things. When did Caribbean folks start celebrating Halloween? I mean, I grew up in the 80's my parents left Barbados in the early 70's and they didn't even know what Halloween was. As a child, I never got to dress up and walk around collecting candy. Maybe I was deprived but we just never engaged in that. As I have always stated, cultrally I grew up in a Bajan home. Fast forward to 2016. I know being in the social media age everyone can see what…

When Someone FINALLY Gets Married… How Is That YOUR Business????

Happy Monday All... Hope you had a wonderful weekend.   Now, quick blog because I seriously wonder sometimes if people think before they speak/write.  Over the weekend, a very popular Dancehall Artist named Aidonia got married to his 'long time girlfriend' Kimberly.  Now I saw the pictures they were great.  The decor in the reception looked amazing.  I seen other blogs posting this information.  As you know when people on your timeline share something it comes up.  And I seen titles like "Aidonia Finally Marries His Baby Mother"... and all kinds of titles similar to that one.  I am not sure if they wrote it…

Caribbean Cultural Events And Violence – My Take On Things!!

What's up everyone? For the past couple of days I have been sitting back and watching the conversations on Social Media surrounding the Labor Day Parade and Violence. Now it is no secret I was originally slated to attend this parade and the events leading up to it.  But I got a feeling a bit before the time and I generally do NOT like to go against my gut.  There was so much conversation about curbing violence leading up to Labor Day Weekend that I ended up cancelling my trip and not attending just to be safe.  That will offend some people but oh well. So…

Thinking About Scamming Someone For “Papers”…. I Would Reconsider That Idea!!!

What's up everyone you know it is IIIIII... Babbzy... coming to do a quick post because I have been reading certain stories over and over again.  I feel like people may not necessarily know the in's and out's or consequences of certain types of activity and should really know clearly what they are getting into. I am talking about the idea of someone who wants citizenship in another country, getting married to someone just so they can get their citizenship.  Now this has been around for donkey years.  So why the sudden influx of these stories going extremely wrong?  Well let me explain.  I know for…

Why The Olympics Is Driving Me CRAZY!!!!

Oh gosh man.... I honestly cannot believe that the Olympics has turned into a bash-another-persons-country-fest.  I mean.... seriously?? Why?? I always remember how the Olympics was a big event in my household growing up.  The 1988 Olympics is the first one I remember.  That is the year that the Ben Johnson drama went down.  But before that, we would be watching the events as a family, cheering on everyone.  Well that was the way I grew up... I wasn't raised to hate anyone.... Fast forward to 2016.  Obviously things are very different.  People HATE athletes simply because of where they come from.  Or because they…
